The SPL Executive Committee reviews the membership fees for the Share Plan Lawyers on an annual basis.  Having extended all the memberships for free last year, the Executive Committee has looked at the budget for this year, together with the cost of our forthcoming new website, and has set the renewal fee for this year at £100 each. The fee for new members will also be £100 each.

The Executive Committee endeavours to keep the fee as low as possible but at £100 each, we feel that SPL continues to represent great value for money given the know-how, training and networking opportunities that membership brings – all of which will be supported by the new website once it is launched.

If you wish to renew your membership for 2021/22, please follow one of the alternatives below:

You are at a firm with more than one member:

Please arrange for the lead member to renew the membership of all SPL members at your firm. When doing so, the lead member should specify the name of each member on whose behalf he/she is renewing and send a BACS payment to the Share Plan Lawyers’ bank account in accordance with the instructions set out below.

You are the only member at your firm:

Please send a BACS payment to the Share Plan Lawyers’ bank account in accordance with the instructions set out below.

Renewal Fee:

The renewal fee (and new member fee) for 2021/22 is £100 each.

How should payment be made?

Please confirm to Catherine Dench ( the names of each member you wish to renew for, that you have processed the necessary membership fees via BACs and include confirmation of the BACs payment for our records.

If one of your colleagues would like to become an SPL member: They should request an application form from Mahesh Varia (Secretary).

By renewing your membership, you will be giving your consent to the processing by the SPL and any retained agent or sub-contractor of your personal data for these purposes and any others which may be approved by the SPL’s Executive Committee from time to time. A copy of the SPL’s privacy policy can be found on the SPL website at Enquiries about your personal data held by the SPL and the purposes for which it is processed should be addressed to the Secretary.
